Collaboration: the key to innovation
Working together with RELEAF; the materials engineering company developing functional packaging materials from fallen leaves, we took discarded urban green waste and transformed it into a premium packaging concept.
And in doing so, we’ve kicked up countless possibilities.
Using nature’s very own assets and applying a mix of skill, vision and passion we present yet another sensational, sustainable solution that’s good for packaging and for our planet.
‘Leaf’ it to the experts
Great innovation happens when different kinds of expertise come together.
RELEAF brought its material science and expertise in transforming fallen urban leaves into leaf-paper. ESKA brought its expertise in recycled solid board, lamination and bespoke material development.
In our lab, RELEAF’s leaf-paper was laminated onto ESKA recycled solid board, preserving the natural appearance and texture of the leaves while creating the distinctive tactility of the finished material.
The result is ESKA LEAF: Proof that when great ideas and great expertise come together, innovation really can grow on trees.
Designed for full recyclability
Made from urban leaf waste and recycled fibre, it’s so simple.
Each Autumn, millions of tonnes of crisp leaves fall from thousands of trees, making way for Winter. Usually, the leaves are discarded as waste.
Instead, RELEAF puts them to good use; transforming this urban green waste into an innovative leaf-based material.
It’s a no brainer for any eco-friendly company, client and customer. Less deforestation, less carbon emissions, more bio-degradable products.
